June 19th, 2023: There are several varieties of 107 Robusto. This one comes with no embellishment on the label, so I assume that it is the Ecuador wrapper; certainly not the Nicaraguan. I bought a box of 21 in April and have smoked four at the time of starting this blog entry. The first one was delicious. The other three were good, but body was a bit thin compared to the first with the exception of the final third in the fourth, which I smoked last night, which was quite potent and complex.
Aroma, on the other hand, was exquisite in all cases. The fourth cigar that I tried became quite intense and delicious around the final third. I smoked it well into the nub.
Compared with the short robusto, the robusto, a classic 5 x 50, is a little stronger, richer and more intense. All of the La Aurora cigars that I have smoked have burned and drawn excellently.
August 27th: A treat: delicious to the nub: medium to full bodied with a lovely, complex, sweet and savoury flavour and exquisite aroma. Very satisfying at around 60 minutes.
Good to the nub. |
September 27th, 2023: a real treat. Delicious floral prelight aroma, excellent draw, full body with complex aroma. Very satisfying. 60 minutes.
